Privacy policy
Protecting your personal data matters to me – especially because sensitive information comes up in a health consultation. This page explains which data I process, why and for how long. In short: as little as possible, only for the consultation, and only with me.
1. Controller
- Name
- Miriam Emilia, Health in Harmony (sole proprietorship)
- Address
- [Street No., ZIP City], Switzerland
- health@miriamemilia.ch
2. Principles
- Data minimisation: I only collect data needed for the consultation or to answer your enquiry.
- No sharing: Your data is never sold or passed on to third parties, unless you explicitly ask for it or I am legally obliged to.
- No profiling: This website uses no tracking and no analytics services. This website sets no cookies; booking takes place externally on Calendly (see section 9).
3. Visiting this website
When you open this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (server log files): IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data serves solely to deliver the website securely and to fend off attacks. It is not linked to other data and is deleted automatically after a short time.
- Hosting
- [Hosting provider, location], servers located in [Switzerland / EU]
4. Fonts
This website embeds fonts from Google Fonts. When the page loads, your IP address is transmitted to Google servers (Google Ireland Ltd. or Google LLC, USA). More information is available in Google's privacy policy.
Operational note: if the fonts are hosted locally on the website's own server, this section can be removed entirely – that is the recommended setup.
5. Contact
The contact form on this website does not send any data to a server. It only opens your own e-mail program with a prepared message. I receive your details (name, e-mail address, message) only once you send that e-mail.
I process these details to answer your enquiry and to arrange an introductory call. Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation are deleted after 12 months at the latest.
Please note that e-mails are usually transmitted unencrypted. For particularly sensitive content I recommend discussing it in person first.
6. Consultation and health data
During a consultation I process information about your health, nutrition and life situation – for example from the questionnaire before the initial consultation, from session notes and from the nutrition plans I create. This is sensitive personal data within the meaning of Art. 5 lit. c FADP.
- Purpose: exclusively to carry out your personal consultation.
- Legal basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time, and the performance of the consulting agreement.
- Access: only myself. There are no employees and no disclosure to third parties.
- Storage: on password-protected devices in Switzerland. No cloud services outside Switzerland/the EU are used unless we agree otherwise (e.g. a video tool for sessions).
- Retention: for the duration of the consultation and afterwards as long as statutory retention obligations apply (accounting records: 10 years). Session notes and nutrition plans are deleted on request or at the latest 2 years after the last session.
7. Invoicing
For invoicing I process your name, address and payment details. Under the Swiss Code of Obligations these records must be kept for 10 years.
8. Phone and video sessions
Consultations take place in person, by phone or by video. For video sessions we agree on a tool together; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies in addition. Sessions are not recorded.
9. Appointment booking with Calendly
For online booking I use Calendly (Calendly LLC, Atlanta, USA). Calendly is not embedded on this website – the link "Go to booking" opens the booking page in a new tab. Only there, data such as your IP address, browser information and, when booking, your name, e-mail address and preferred time are transmitted to and processed by Calendly; Calendly may set cookies there. Transfers to the USA are based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. More information: Calendly's privacy policy. If you prefer not to use Calendly, you can always arrange an appointment by e-mail.
10. Your rights
At any time you have the right to:
- information about which data I process about you (Art. 25 FADP)
- correction of inaccurate data
- deletion of your data, unless a retention obligation applies
- receive your data in a common electronic format (Art. 28 FADP)
- withdraw consent with effect for the future
Simply send an e-mail to health@miriamemilia.ch. The competent supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Data security
This website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). I keep consultation records on password-protected, encrypted devices; paper records in a lockable cabinet.
12. Changes
I may update this privacy policy when the website, my services or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
